they passes a no smoking law recently here in california - its susposed to protect children etc...
but the irony is this -
you cant smoke in your OWN home nor vehicle anymore when there are children in it -
rights - WHAT rights?
since that law has been pssed - i suspect its only a matter of time before we have to ask the gov in a 35 page form if we can take a dump on our own toliets :P
safety - WHOS SAFETY?
the goverment politicans perhaps - but not yours and mine -

PEN.., its amazing the crap they pull off in the name of safety for Americans. Surrender our freedom in exchange for a false sense of security. Once the borders are opened - our security is lowered to darn near non existant.
Next thing you know we'll be asked to give up our rights to land to keep us safe. Our rights to choose and to own, has been stripped away little by little - and it has no stopping place.

Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America (SPP):
The SPP is a White House-led initiative among the United States and the two nations it borders – Canada and Mexico – to increase security and to enhance prosperity among the three countries through greater cooperation. The SPP is based on the principle that our prosperity is dependent on our security and recognizes that our three great nations share a belief in freedom, economic opportunity, and strong democratic institutions. The SPP outlines a comprehensive agenda for cooperation among our three countries while respecting the sovereignty and unique cultural heritage of each nation. The SPP provides a vehicle by which the United States, Canada, and Mexico can identify and resolve unnecessary obstacles to trade and it provides a means to improve our response to emergencies and increase security, thus benefiting and protecting Americans.

And, by the way, any currency union would be soooooo unconstitutional. Not that would stop them, though ...

Downtown Detroit WASN'T destroyed? Golly, sure looks like it was ...
Seriously. Remember, I work in Europe; and sometimes we prepare quotes for a portion of our European production to be exported to North America. We're already planning for a unified NA export market there.

Good point. There's much that doesn't make sense. I used to defend Bush - but more and more, he pulls these bone headed idiot stunts that start to show his colors. Chavez and Putin do have more power than they should have - but Bush is showing little regard for the American people, flexing more power than he should otherwise have. From my view, He is becoming just as bad as any of them.

The SSP is troubling. I hear about it everyday ... from Teamster truckers and all other middle class peeps worried that Wall Street is what Washington worries about. I often wonder if we would have invaded Iraq had downtown Detroit been destroyed instead of Manhattan.
