	Daveman October 1, 2007 09:01 AM PDT JOE: Get thee hence, Satan! LOL - actually I like the fact that the new B.G. has deep characterization and so on - but I cant forgive the Nazi Batswords for turning Apollo into a woman and race changes among the crew and so on. I mean - couldn't there were female Viper Pilots on the old BG for them to play with in the modern version. This "politically correct" crap has gone nuts. I do not technically view the new Battlestar Galactica as Battlestar Galactica - to me its a fantastic new series, that just mimics in part, the real B.G. - thats the only way I can enjoy it. Elsewise I'd be writing Richard Hatch, accusing him of being a sell out, woikin fo da man. And in some small way - he is. HAH!


	Joe October 1, 2007 08:51 AM PDT Nothing against the old show, but the new Battlestar Galactica has some of the best writing on TV today.


	J f Z October 1, 2007 07:30 AM PDT I think that the popularity of the Terminator movies might have also influenced the decision to take Robby the robot and make him more human as a device. Plus, think how much cash you could save on costumes.


	Daveman September 30, 2007 09:07 AM PDT JFZ: Yeah I remember that episode. It was "Galactica 1980", the first attempt to revive the series. And yeppers it was a funny episode. Especially at the halloween party. How convienient. LOL It was also the first episode to show a prototype Pseudo-Human Cylon. So the new 2000 series didnt break any ground on that count.


	J f Z September 30, 2007 04:45 AM PDT Remember the Halloween episode when Baldar and a Cylon crash landed on Earth and had to hitchhike? OMG. That is so funny to watch now. I saw it a few years ago when Sci-Fi channel did those marathon sessions of broadcasting different TV series. Baldar and his Cylon survive the crash and end up hitchhiking with some hippies to a halloween party. Good stuff.
