Update On Daughter & Baby
Thanks for the prayers and well wishes and I appreciate you all very much!
I dun know what to say. Actually I do, but I'm going to drag this out just because I have that marvelous ability. Its nice to have some kind of super ability ya know, and I guess thats mine... well.., I know of people who could do better, but THEY are not writing this particular blog entry, now are they!? Me thinks nawt!
So I called daughter this morning - didn't get an answer. I was saying to myself.., "Self.., you know what?" and I says back, "What?" and self says, "Daughter is having the baby".., and I says.., "Ya think?" and self says back.., "Sometimes I think, but try not to do that too much as it gives me a head ache".
About that time, the phone rings and I run outside - realize I better answer the phone which is inside, so I shift directions and move cautiously toward the blower. That there is old world gangster talk for "phone". Also known as, the horn, the blab box, the talking machine, the yap yap..., and as you can imagine I made like 3 or 4 of those up.., all by my witty self! Impressive am I nawt? Oh Shup! How ye mock what ye understandest naught.
ANYWAYS - if I may.., I'll just cut to the chase..., it was daughter who was on the other end of the yap box. She sounded cheerful, said she had contractions on and off but nothing like yesterday.., which means "Self" lied to me, the sorry no good imaginative, turkey! Daughter was home and I could hear #1 Grandson telling his mother.., "I go outside for a little bit" to which he responded in the negative to his mother telling him.., "No, not right now."
At any rate the projected guesstimating of Grandson #2's arrival is late October to Early November, leaning more to the October side than not. But as Pendoodles pointed out in the tag-board.., some ovens bake the buns a little faster than others. Thats not an exact quote, but the same thing. So get off my back. And yesterday - I think Grandson #2, who will from henceforth be known as "Job "(not his real name but an acronym) just doesn't want to wait nor keep the schedule the doctor(s) assigned him. He's a rebel like his Gampa!

Three or four years from now, you'll remember that I told you to go out and buy a pair of shin guards and a cup. I'm patient.
You'll get all goofy and giddy and play with the little guy and then, *wham!*
He's building leg muscles as we speak.

LISA: I'm glad you survived the onslaught of massive words :-)
And thank you for your prayers. Leaving things in God's hands is best way - if we can ever just let go, and let Him do it. Well - he can do it despite us, but you know what I mean.

ABBY: Yeah I thought about that - his being born on Halloween. Im just glad thet did not name him Jason or something. :-O
His big brother was born on the 18th of October.
TERRI: Yes, you should talk to me rather than yourself, because talking to yourself is just crazy ;-)

Reading this was like waiting for the magical moment when the doctor says, "okay, PUSH!"
I'm glad her contractions have slowed and little Job is still cooking. Might just be a Halloween baby? Now that would be Grandpa-like!

Your self offers much more stimulating conversation than my self does. Maybe I should talk to your self next time I think I should talk to myself.
Anyway, I'm glad to hear that the little one is planning to bake a bit longer. I'll keep both mama and baby in my prayers until the timer goes off. And probably even after...
Ok. I'll stop rambling now...

Well, when one of our preemies was asked a few years after she was born why she came early she said, "I wanted to see my mama!" We'll keep praying for daughter to be delivered when the time is right.

RITA: yeah you got that right. I'm a bit on the antsy side - fidget, fidget, fidget.. LOL. I'm anxious for the little guy to arrive but hope he's well done before he's extracted from the oven.

Glad to hear the little bun's still in the oven, bless his little heart. He's an antsy little guy. Maybe a bit like his Gampaw?
