Question: If you had to pick one of these (and for the sake of this blog entry you have no other choice) which one would you pick? Keep in mind you cant pick both or non.
#1. A confrontation with spirits (ghosts, elementals, demons, other - you can pick) - In-Laws do not count.
#2. A confrontation with a UFO which may include face to face encounter with whats inside.
Let me expand on this just a bit more. In either case, you wont have any proof. No film, no video, no camera - nothing. AND tell me if you would be frustrated at not having proof to back your claims.
For the record - I myself have had experiences in the #1 category (though I don't believe in ghosts - but unknown beings). I have also seen a UFO or two in my lifetime but never seen it up close, nor the inhabitants of said UFOs.
ABBY: I am tempted to spill my guts on that "evil thing" I actually, unknowingly, physically touched - which you wanted to know about two years ago or so - so stay tuned.

I'd go with the ghosts. They can probably do the least amount of harm. so I think. inlaws..lol! that's a category 3.

TERRI: Thats kinda neat. Not every experience is a bad / evil one. I've never had that kind of experience. I mean, I have experienced scents out of nowhere but no certain person come to mind.
I did have a set of dreams concerning my grandparents that made me wonder if they were bidding me farewell - which I may post about it sometime. I don't know thats what the dreams were - but it makes one wonder.

No Dave, I haven't had any experiences, nothing scary anyway. I just LOVED the movie, "The Sixth Sense." My experience was just a moment when I suddenly KNEW my grandma was in the room with me. I was at home, but suddenly everything smelled like the aromas I remembered from her home. Whenever I think about her, I think about how much she loved everyone unconditionally, better than anyone I've ever known since - and we never doubted it. I still miss her a lot and probably was missing her most at that moment. I knew without a doubt she was there. Hmmm... this is a long comment. Sorry bout that!

I'd rather come face-to-face with a UFO and its accompanying alien than a ghost, demon etc. Presumably, the extraterrestrial being would be endowed with technology far in advance to our own. If the alien is hostile -- perish the thought -- then I may have to fight or run, but even THEIR technology would have limits. When you talk about otherworldly supernatural beings such as ghosts, demons, the undead, etc -- you have little (if any) chance of survival given the fact that you are a physical being in physical form with little (or no) supernatural ability. Sure -- you can burn incense, chant, use candles or garlic -- but in the end, there's no guarantee that you'll prevail.

I'd be all over #1...no thanks to the second!

CAMI: Number one is much less messy than number two. :-)
BANDANAFISH:
Personally I think we go someplace else when we die - and ghosts are something else entirely - something that can and has assumed the identity of the dead and living. Either view makes for interesting conversation I suppose.
TERRI: Sounds like you already had an experience. Hmmm - Im gunna ask. You know I am LOL.

if I had to pick one it would be 1.

I'd choose #1 merely for selfish reasons, though, because, see, we'll never become Martians (this generation at least), but we WILL all become ghosts (if there are such things); therefore, I might as well as meet one now and get some insider scoop, just so I won't be such a newbie when I die. What's worst than to be picked on by a bunch of senior ghosts?!

I'll take the ghosts. And I'm not telling anyone about it either.

HOWARD: Beware! Speilberg IS an ET. How else do you think he knows all that technical info about UFOs... hmmm?
 | | | Howard June 28, 2007 11:59 AM PDT
I'd pick UFO because, according to Spielberg, they make catchy music.

ABBY: On a serious note - if one can take even half the UFO reports seriously, the a person could assume some of them have bad intent, some of them good. I think the same applies to those beings we take for ghosts and so forth. <gasp!> yew cawed me a glitch!
SPRITE: I guess Im crazy - but if I had a chance to walk up to one - I'd do it! With my luck it would be a creature asking for directions to Mars.

Interesting question. This would be a good one around the after-dark campfire!
See, the catch here, or "glitch" *ahem*, is that we just don't know, "friend or foe"?? An evil ghost or an evil alien, I want nothing to do with either! I'm leaning toward door #1, though.
I anxiously await the "evil thing".
