Some of my most favorite Top Seven Classic Christmas songers (singers) of all time are ... **drum-roll please**.....
- Nat Cole
- Hoyt Axton
- Burl Ives
- Dean Martin
- Bing Crosby (Only his x-mas songs. Nothing else)
- Jose Feliciano
- John Denver (yeah - his x-mas songs are smooth & awesome)
The above named are linked for those who draw a blank on these celebs
I hate the newer stuff (with some exceptions) and just wont listen to it unless I'm in a place of business or someone elses house whereby I have no choice. Have you heard some of the modern country singers destroy the old classics? Or modern rock performers or - well - lets not even talk Rap which is crap.
So whats in your wallet? - errr - I mean, what's your favorite top seven CLASSIC, Christmas Singers list? Consider yourself tagged.. on a voluntary basis only.

I love the old stuff, but there's a lot of the new stuff that I love too. The reason that I listen to the new stuff more than the old is acuzza the old stuff makes me cry thinking about people that are no longer here.
I know, I know. | |

Santa Baby
written by J. Javits and P. Springer
originally sung by Ertha Kitt
Time: 2:30
----------
Santa baby, slip a sable under the tree, for me
I've been an awful good girl
Santa baby, and hurry down the chimney tonight
Santa baby, an out-of-space convertible too, light blue
I'll wait up for you dear
Santa baby, and hurry down the chimney tonight
Think of all the fun I've missed
Think of all the fellas that I haven't kissed
Next year I could be oh so good
If you'd check off my Christmas list
Boo doo bee doo
Santa honey, I wanna yacht and really that's
Not a lot
I've been an angel all year
Santa baby, and hurry down the chimney tonight
Santa cutie, there's one thing I really do need, the deed
To a platinum mine
Santa cutie, and hurry down the chimney tonight
Santa baby, I'm filling my stocking with a duplex, and checks
Sign your 'X' on the line
Santa baby, and hurry down the chimney tonight
Come and trim my Christmas tree
With some decorations bought at Tiffany's
I really do believe in you
Let's see if you believe in me
Boo doo bee doo
Santa baby, forgot to mention one little thing, a ring
I don't mean a phone
Santa baby, and hurry down the chimney tonight
Hurry down the chimney tonight
Hurry down the chimney tonight

Oh yeah, Nat Cole's "Christmas Song" is an all time fave. Jose is okay, but they play his "Feliz Navidad" SO much around here, I've had my fill!
As far as the more modern songers, I like some Garth Brooks at Christmas, although I'm not much of a C/W listener.
What? No Alvin and the Chipmunks? | |

The only addition I would make would be the kids in "A Charlie Brown Christmas".

I think you pretty much covered all of my favorites, too.
Though I also like John Lennon's "Do they know it's Christmas?" which I guess some would consider to be one of those modern singers. | |

I concurr with your list 100% - except I actually prefer Mel Torme's version of "The Christmas Song " to Nat Cole's.
I also love most Carpetners Christmas Tunes, esp. "Merry Christmas, Darling". | |
